The bowl clattered to the floor with a crash
From the small girl's white hands, turned dark by her own blood
The girl's mouth opened to a small “O”
And she let forth a scream that could pierce the coldest heart
A cold, bone chilling laugh came from behind
Colder than human, colder than ice, harder than a stone of glacier
The girl fell to the floor in a crumpled heap
Her blond hair stained with blood from the girl as she fell
A puddle erupted and pooled around the still body
Before a final shudder and gasp shook the girl and she went pale
As she used her last strength to look at the man
Who had ended her life with a stroke
Of a sharp and steel knife that glittered in the moonlight
That poured from the open window a 'round
Then her small head fell to floor
With a sickening thud and her yellow eyes closed for the last
But the man only laughed that cold, chilling laugh
That seemed to freeze the heart
Of the neighbors near by
Stupid girl, came the man's whisper
Chilling my heart, as I watched through the widow
Of the little hut
I knew this man. I knew him well
A lover, a friend, a neighbor and husband to me
And a sister to the one
That lay on the floor, real ,red blood spilling around
I gave a small scream
The man, my lover, looked to me, the killer looked to me
I tried to run, but to no avail
As he turned to me and smiled his toothy smile that made my heart
melt
Once
Now it chilled me
I knew what was happing, I was next
I gave a scream as he pulled the sharp dagger pout of the girl
The girl who was my friend
He advance and came upon me
he whispered in my ear
Your next my dear, you will lie on the floor my sister here
The words chilled me
But I was dead before I could scream
As I went from the world
I could hear them
The screams of the girls
And women and children
The screams of their last moments
The Screams of the Dead
From the small girl's white hands, turned dark by her own blood
The girl's mouth opened to a small “O”
